Points are earned based on dollars spent on the rental, except for taxes, government fees, expense recovery charges and airport fees. Dollars spent on rental time, mileage, coverages, accessories, and gas are all eligible for Betterway Rewards points. For every dollar you spend, you will earn one point.
Dollars spent at our parking facilities at the Omaha Airport and Birmingham Airport are not eligible for points.

Reservations made in any of the markets listed above using Budget.com or Budget’s 800 number will also be honored by the Betterway Rewards program.
Points will appear as “Posted” within 7-10 days of returning your rental vehicle and should be available for you to redeem for certificates.
When points are added to your account, you have one year to redeem them for certificates. Points expire on a rolling basis, so the oldest points expire first.
A certificate is valid for 1 year starting the day it is added to your account. After 1 year, it expires and is removed from your account.
No, points can only be redeemed for certificates.
The credits you receive from a certificate can be applied to the entire cost of your rental including time, mileage, coverages, accessories, gas, taxes, government fees, expense recovery charges and airport fees. The certificates are only good at our locations: Budget Car and Truck Rental of Atlanta, Birmingham, Kansas City, Memphis, Nebraska, Utah and Wichita.Certificates can also be used at our Omaha Airport and Birmingham Airport parking facilities.
Rental reservations made through our local websites, local phone number, Budget.com, and Budget’s 800 number for one of our locations (Atlanta, Birmingham, Kansas City, Memphis, Nebraska, Utah and Wichita) are all eligible for Betterway Rewards. All other reservations are not eligible. Additionally rentals booked using preferred member rates are not eligible.
Rentals made outside of the Budget rental system are not eligible. The best way to earn points for your Betterway Rewards account is to book directly through our local websites.
To redeem your points for certificates, visit your Betterway Rewards dashboard. There, you will find an overview of the points you’ve accumulated and an area where you can exchange them for the certificates that are currently available through Betterway Rewards.
